Chicago-based John De La Mora is a DJ and Radio Presenter with a career spanning over 20 years. Known as the U.S. producer of the wildly popular Trance Nation Radio Show & Podcast, John burst upon the scene at the remarkably young age of 13 – having won a DJ residency competition and beating out other entrants that were more than double his age. Since then John’s U.S. residencies has become a mile long. Born on the Southside of Chicago, John got into DJ’ing at age 11 when his 2 older brothers bought used DJ gear. Never allowed to touch the gear when his brothers were home he taught himself the art of mixing records. In a few short months John and his brothers were much sought-aftered across the Chicago house party scene.

Having won his first residency at legendary Disco Wheels at age 13, John’s entire teenage years were spent rocking the decks every weekend and contributing guest mixes to the U.S. cable TV program Dance Party USA. In 1999 John made his first abroad performances is Russia and Turkey, bringing the massive new trance sound which seduced him from the first moment he heard the sound. In 2006 he played legendary 9 and 11 hour sets in the U.S. That same year John created the weekly Trance Nation Podcast, which quickly shot up the charts at the Apple iTunes Store. The show is now downloaded in more than 100+ countries around the world every week. 2007 brought John to performances in Serbia and Kosovo, and his popular show caught the ears of Heller & Enkie in Germany – producers of the long running Trance Nation mix CD series. Highly impressed by John’s mixing and radio production skills, the duo offered John and his Trance Nation show to be part of their Supraton Entertainment company in Hamburg - a stunning achievement. Heller & Enkie know trance. John then became the only U.S. DJ ever to be associated with Trance Nation in Germany. In November of 2009 John launched the Techno Trance Radio Show. Never one to rest on his success, John has also launched his own Chicago-based trance/techno label called Eden Music, with Eden releases being praised by the likes of Terry Ferminal and Tom Colontonio. At this stage Eden Music seems destined to follow the success of Trance Nation as John pushes the boundaries every week in search of the perfect mix.
